I've been doing some painting lately, and it feels good. I decided to dedicate one big journal to paintings only. I usually squash everything together and do all sorts of different things in each sketchbook, but I thought it would be fun to keep a focused one for a while.
This spread started out as a paint palette while I was painting the front of a journal, but then I turned it into something a little bit more illustrative.
I like to keep a record of my paint palettes and usually I leave them as they were when I stopped painting, but turning a paint palette into a painting is a great way to represent it and keep it too.
