Palettes


I've been painting almost daily lately, and instead of using a dedicated palette, I've been using a small journal as my palette - two clean pages each time.


I love recording palettes like this. They echo the style of my paintings, and actually they're often prettier.


It's nice to have these little moments in time and paint mixing recorded. Each palette is like a new little world.

      I feel like Lisa in that episode of The Simpsons where she accidentally makes a society in a Petri dish.
