I saw a most beautiful dress on Rosegal recently and I had to have it. I've been really into dresses and dungarees worn over t-shirts lately. A bit of a '90s throwback, as are many things at the moment, but I love this dress because of its cute cut and floral boob embroidery, or floobroidery™. It's a nice thick denim too, which I appreciate.
It's a dress for adventure, I think. I feel like going on the swings in this, and it's funny how clothing items can conjure up a complete fantasy scenario in my head sometimes. I think that's often the case with clothes I really love - I'll imagine myself running through a field of buttercups, or sitting sternly in a top business meeting, or having a glass of champagne under fireworks whilst fully covered in colourful sequins. I guess that's one reason I find fashion so interesting, because it's a big part of our lives and who we are, and it somehow expresses our personalities and ideas and wishes a lot. I mean, even if you're just wearing a grey hoodie, it kinda positions you within the world in some way. That's why clothes are in museums, isn't it? They're an integral part of humanity.
Look at my dress though!
I can't wait to start up my museum of floobroidery™!
