I'm very pleased to see Gudetama, one of my favourite Sanrio characters, showing up here on a snazzy little white chocolate bar - and of course, one of the famed Japanese Kit Kats. This one is a cranberry and hazelnut flavoured Kit Kat, and I'm quite thrilled any time I get a chance to try a new Kit Kat flavour. That's what life's all about. We also have a mini chocolate bar and some plum flavoured chewy sweets in this picture. Lots of variety already.
I'm excited to see that they've included more potato snacks again this time, or should I say, sweet potato snacks. These are pretty generous sizes too, the one on the left here is apple pie flavoured. This concept blows my mind. As you can see, there's a thanksgiving theme to this edition of the box, and I think that's perhaps a little extra fun for those of us outside America who don't usually get to think about all the tasty thanksgiving foodstuffs out there.
Of course, the most tantalising part of the box for me has to be the gummies, of which there are two delicious options this time round. The Gochi sour plum gummies, and the Kanro Pure mixed berry flavoured gummies. I am a total sucker for Japanese gummies, because they always seem to taste incredible, and these are no different. The mixed berry flavoured ones have the perfect intensity of sourness to them. I am the gummy queen and I will reign for millenia. I love them.
Lastly, we have a fun little dipping sherbet lolly. And it probably wouldn't be a Japan Candy Box if we didn't have anything cola flavoured. I love the cute little cola can guy here.
All in all I think the variety of snacks here is pretty great. The potato snack/gummy/chocolate ratio is just about perfect, with the lolly acting as a nice bonus.
Which snack do you think looks the tastiest?
